| Which application should you complete? |
Research or creative activities in all disciplines are eligible for General USP funding. For this funding you should fill out a USP Application and indicate that you are applying for General USP funding (click here for instructions). We also have funding for specific areas and/or disciplines. Please answer the following questions to judge your eligibility for these additional funding opportunities.
- NOTE: If your proposed work is a continuation of work that was previously supported by USP or INBRE you should indicate that you are submitting a renewal application.

Does your research involve biomedical research? If yes, then complete a USP Application and request INBRE funding. (click here for instructions) |

Does your research involve work in biochemistry, chemistry, or the biological sciences? If yes, then you may be eligible to apply to the Beckman Scholars Program (you must be planning to work for one of the named Beckman Scholar Mentors, see the Beckman Scholar Program page for a list of eligible faculty). If you are eligible, then complete a Beckman Scholars Program Application. NOTE: THIS PROGRAM TYPICALLY ACCEPTS APPLICATIONS DURING THE SPRING SEMESTER. PLEASE SEE THE PROGRAM PAGE FOR MOR DETAILS. |

Are you applying for funds to cover costs of attending a meeting where you will present the results of your research? Have you previously received research funding from USP? If your answer to both of these questions is yes, you need to fill out a Travel Grant Application. (click here for instructions) |

Leah Grunzke holds an armful of corn harvested recently from the MSU horticulture farm west of campus. Farm products were sold over the summer by the Horticulture Club, which donated for Hurricane Katrina Relief. Grunzke, a senior from Brainerd, Minnesota, is majoring in horticulture.
